My name is Janet and I am the owner of Fleurieu Coast Bookkeeping. I am a wife and mother to 3 gorgeous little girls. In 2011 I graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce Majoring in Accounting. I have spent 3 years working as an Accountant for a Mid Tier Accounting Firm. Where I learned many skills I use today. I understand what information accountants need and how they process the information. While working as an Accountant I realized that I really enjoy the day to day side of accounting rather than the year end.
This lead me to become a bookkeeper in the private sector for 4 years before becoming a bookkeeper for a bookkeeping practice in 2017. In the more than 10 Year working as either and Accountant or a Bookkeeper I learned so much and realised my love of Xero. In 2021 I became a Registered BAS Agent and started Fleurieu Coast Bookkeeping.
I am a strong believer that if there is something that can make your life easier then why not embrace it. This belief is why I primarily work with Xero as it is extremely easy to use. This is not only my thought but it is also the feed back I have received from many clients over the years. There are also many additional software add-ons available that work seamlessly with Xero that can make your day to day processing even easier.
By keeping in regular contact and being on the same page with both you and your accountant we can unsure that the data we are all working with is the same. We will endeavor to have any end of year changes made by the accountant reflected in the Xero file that you use to run your business. By achieving this the starting point each year is the same for both the accountant and us which will make everyone’s job much easier.
